Our Stories and Styles

Stephanie and Thua met in the halls of Lafayette Central Catholic in August 2002. Through the following 6 years, we remained at each other's side through the trails of high school. This includes, but not limited to:

  • doing the bare minimum in Track & Field, musicals, and the bowling team
  • working illegally long hours at the movie theater
  • enrolling at Jefferson to take photography class
  • and endless hours partying, shopping, hanging out, and making each other family.

Now, 20 years later, we pair up to share our immensely artistic and unorthodox skills with you.

Stephanie Aschenberg

Stephanie's always had an interest in photography. After diving head-first into photography in high school, she loved it enough to achieve a college degree in it. Her favorite photography models are her family members, which thoroughly support and enjoy her passion for photography.

Stephanie's photography style is very artistic and highlighting the subject's features. She's very versatile, and enjoys taking traditional poses as well as experimenting with her clients. She'll get in any position and angle herself in any way to get the perfect shot.

Stephanie studied design and photography, and always follows the Rule of Thumb before changing it for the better. She's a ninja photographer -- quiet and stealthy, which makes for great photos of even the shyest subjects.

Thua Ly-Pham

Thua started his photography journey in the 5th grade, when his class took an overnight trip to Camp Tehcumseh, where he filled enough disposable cameras to fill out 2 albums. Since then, he's been known to always have a camera on him. He steadily matured photographically, using a point-and-shoot digital camera until phones such as the Razr and Sony Erickson could take its place. For the last 10 years, Thua's been using his iPhone camera the majority of the time, and his Canon G7X occasionally.

Thua's photography style usually answers the question, "Is this Instagrammable?" He aims to photograph beautiful moments that are often overlooked, the mundane, and the classic shots that warrant envy. Besides selfies and food, Thua loves photographing his travels, architecture, and people in their relaxed state.

Thua is highly educated, with a resumé that includes a BA, BS, MBA, and a teaching license, for good measure. He loves to chat, whether textually, verbally, or even nonverbally. Unless he's in intense concentration, he hates the silences, and fills the air with the nearest streaming device or rapid fire questions to the nearest individual.
